Hillton9, your post says Killiney Castle, are you attending an event there, maybe they will let you park in car park.
Hotel have got quiet fussy about parking even cars, because Aircoach terminal and people were parking there for duration of their holidays. I can’t think of anywhere else in the area, apart from seeing a MH parked at Bulloch Harbour but maybe someone has a boat down there too.
Now that Stena don’t sail from Dun Laoghaire Harbour, not sure what that parking area that was used before boarding ferry is used for now.
Maybe even the Coal Harbour further along...has anyone stopped there?...very handy for the Dun Laoghaire train station.

Dun Laoghaire Harbour is all pay and display and well patrolled. The area where the ferry sailed from is coned off.
Shankill shopping centre is a possibility. Iti s awaiting planning to be torn down again. There are only 2 business's trading there but is very well maintained and lit. 50 metres from the Garda Station. I regularly see a tractor unit parked there and the odd visiting coach that brings foreign students.

It's about 3 km from Killiney Castle. As to Bullock Harbour, I've regularly seen camper vans parked there and would be safe in my opinion.

Further to my comment on Coal Harbour, drove down today and 2 motorhomes parked, one extremely long and back end (nearly half of Mh!) parked over the water....so he only used one space...longer spaces that section.
Rang Dun Laoghaire Harbour office 00353 12801130. Yes no problem parking in Coal Harbour area only (West side of harbour) parking ticket €4 per day per space occupied....no long term parking. It will be busier at weekends.

That's great considering they have 24-hour video security also.

There was a case a couple of years ago, a guy collapsed beside his car and the fellow on the monitor got an ambulance to him.
And not a chances of it becoming the new Howth, too busy. Hard to get a space in summer weekends.
