A friend of mine, who lives in Cork, which as we all know is firmly planted in The Republic of Ireland, and most definitely not part of the entity known as 'The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland', recently went about buying Red Pennant travelling insurance for his trip to The Irish Division National at Fivemiletown Co. Antrim.
Imagine his bewilderment when told by the Caravan and Motorhome Club agent that visiting NI was not 'foreign' travel as he was not travelling outside his 'home' country so their Red Pennant cover does not apply.
Being rather taken aback my friend asked to speak to a supervisor, who confirmed, that if going to England, Scotland, Wales or elsewhere in Europe Red Pennant cover was available but visiting NI does not qualify as travelling outside his 'home' country.
So, come on, let's get stuck into a discussion on the merits of the C&MC position, with particular reference to Brexit
