Has anyone got a Skillet. Over the years we have had three of them. We first saw it at the Bath and West Motorcaravan Show at Shepton Mallet years ago. It is two saucepans that fit together to create a mini oven which you can roast chicken etc. I have to say it works very well and we have made a few Sunday dinners for the both of us. The lady that sold them had a great patter and they sold like hot cakes, in fact you could bake in it as well. We haven’t had one for a couple of years but I see you can buy on line

I bought one,but never got beyond using them as two frying pans.
I would be very interested in your experience of using them as an oven

It is just a matter of connecting them together. If you were reheating stuff or baking we used to put a trivet in the bottom of the pan to keep the foodstuff away from the direct heat. You could throw in the meat and potatoes together and just leave it on low heat, came out very tasty. Check out the double skillet pan company

I have been to shows and met people who swear by a Remoska, it’s an electric pan that acts like an oven. You can get them at Lakeland. I’m too tight to fork out the money for one

I'm thinking an Instant pot would be a great thing to have on hookup. they seem to do almost anything and make cooking very fast, not great if you only have an inverter or gas but in a campsite they would be ideal.

Bounded...We have electric slow/pressure cooker, use it every day at home, quiet, not steamy, switches off and has stay warm mode.
Fits perfectly in round sink for storing while driving. I think we have used the MH oven twice, And the BBQ is in the garage still unused.
The only pans with us is a deep frying pan with lid and small saucepan because they fit in drawer.

Hi again.
I am finding it hard to find actual use of the skillet
Do any of you ,that use the skillet have actual recipes or "well we throw this, this and this for x amount of time and this is what you get".
I see on the net that people cook "chicken" for example but no actual detail like
Full or part chicken
How long (ish)

That kind of thing

We joined the two saucepans together then put a couple of whole onions, chop/steak,/chicken and potatoes into the skillet and left it on low heat with the diffuser. Checked it a couple of times until cooked.
