If anyone is there I will be the one limping around.

Looks like I may have been stung by a jellyfish on Holiday last month. Either that or bitten by an insect of some sort.

Spent most of today between doctors and hospitals trying to bet it sorted. If it is dark you will still know me as I have so many tablets I will rattle... LOL

Something to look out for, about Jelly fish while on holidays, this is a very, very sad and tragic story about this Women's husband on Liveline last week here.

Just listened to that Tom..

Very sad, quite strange that there have been so many too

We saw many of the Blue Bottle jellyfish or Portuguse Man Of War as they are known. They were on the beach every day. We avoided them but it looks like I might not have done a very good job in that department..

here is a photo I took of one of them..

Still not confirmed as a sting from one of these

I wish I had never seen one either.
There were plenty of them on the beach each day. I suppose I could have touched a piece of one in the water. I have read they can get chopped up by boat propellers out at sea and be in pieces in the water.

Anything is possible.

I think I heard on the radio that all traces of stings disappear after a few days,
I cant find the link at the moment.
Your's might not get confirmed at this stage now.

Yes very sad, Ally.

The Jelly fish are getting very common now, even on our shoreline Have seen plenty in Glengarriff Co. Cork. and Castlegregory Co. Kerry.

Put a small photo in my personal gallery of one in Glengarriff.

Haven't a clue if it is Dangerous or not, they say that all of them have some sort of sting, I must do some reading about them.

I remember as a kid picking these up and throwing them into the sea for a laugh! think it was on Magiligans beach.

Apparently it was ok as long as you didn't touch the bit underneath!
