A lovely place to park, and excellent fish and chips in the village.

Thinking of going to Ardmore Aire early next week, as late July is it likely to be full ?
Can we find out before we head that direction.?
Googled Ardmore aire seem to be few years old information. Do you pay €10 to park during day and €10 at night??
I recently started using a CPAP machine (sleep apnoea) , I heard there are a few EHU, or is that only for short recharging?
I got a cigarette light connector from supplier in anticipation of not having electric if staying anywhere overnight.

€10 for 24 hrs. When you arrive, park up at a spot of your choice and someone will arrive at some time during your stay to collect your fee. There is a phone number at the entrance for enquiries. It is a beautiful place beside the beach. Enjoy your trip.

EHU is at the light post as you enter the parking area it is 3 pin so you will need a converter cable and will have to park no more than a cable length from post , cost e5 extra its just for med purposes like your machine

Over 8000 miles in the emerald isle in less than 2 years. I think that I need a break from the Irish pothole avoidance measures. I hear that the french have no potholes, branches sticking out of ditches or muppets passing MH on hairpin bends.

Was in Ardmore on Sat and Sunday. Over 63 units, plenty of awnings, and a few tents.
Very pleasant. One point to mention: there are no rubbish facilities, so you have to bring your waste away with you. There are a few public waste bins down town, and it may be possible to dispose of your waste there, but not really practical if 60 campers take their waste to town. Rather than hold on to dog waste these bins may be ideal, but it can be a 400 metre walk if you are at the far end of the field.

What ever you do don't throw the dog poo including plastic bag in the Toilet dump box, Dick says people are doing this and it is causing problems

At long last we have got to Ardmore. 16 campers here tonight. We got here around 6.30 this evening to be greeted by a sea fog. We found the chipper, wow the best fish and chips that I had for along time.

If you're looking to stretch the legs then there's St. Declan's walk which is a nice cliff walk up beyond the
hotel. There's some lovely sea views around there and it brings you back to the village via the round tower.

We didn't try the fish'n'chips but discussion amongst campers around us, the one beside pharmacy is the best. Take short cut through laneway to right of toilets, along by flowery riverbank and up towards supermarket.

That is the one , ship wreck is the name. Beside it is a small arcade with decent pool tables.
The village inn pub is owned by Dick's aunt who is more than delighted to replenish your fluid levels after a bag of salty chips.

We got a bag of chips there last weekend. Nicest chips we've had in years!
