Bypass routes for Enniscorthy and New Ross

Work on these routes is ongoing and they have reached the N11 and N25. These locations are being used as entry points for machinery and materials and may cause some delays at times. At present delays are short and irregular but with ongoing work they are bound to become more frequent and longer. If you are heading for the ferry in Rosslare allow a little extra time just in case. The Loc8 code for the affected points are, Enniscorthy SV0-13-KR7 and SV4-11-S83. New Ross Y5Y-77-9BK and Y7X-21-PK8. Log on to http://www.myloc8ion.com/maps/find_code8 and enter the code to bring up a map of the area. Hope this helps someone, keep her between the ditches. :-)

A friend of mine reccomended turning off towards Ballycanew outside Gorey if travelling down the M11/N11. We did the last week and it's a straight run down to Rosslare. Decent road, not dual carriageway but fine in the MH. No delays and actually shorter in distance than the N11 route into Rosslare.

You are spot on there Kevin. I live in wexford and we always take exit 23 for ballycanew. Straight into wexford, over the bridge, turn left and straight out along the quay and all the way out to the Rosslare road I never go into Enniscorthy. Always a bottle neck. Allow 40 mins in M H to Wexford from exit 23. Very rarely any holdup. Allow 20-25 mins to Rosslare from wexford. Might get small delay in wexford, but usually holdup is in other direction. Rush hour holdup on the bridge can look bad but seldom more than 10 mins. Usually 8.20 till 9.10 am and 4.30 till 5.45 pm
Happy trails
David

R741, Gorey - Ballycanew - Wexford is pretty good but don't forget it's 80K limit all the way. Also there's resurfacing work going on about a mile north of Castlebridge at the moment, they should be finished at the end of next week.
