Gas Hob: One burner wont stay lit

Like a lot of you we have a three burner gas hob. Now all is fine with two of the burners but one of them has taken to not working properly. It will light with a tiny flame and then go out. I'm a bit lost as to an explanation. Also its very clean with no sign of anything stuck in the gas outlets. Anyone got any idea of the cause and possible solution?

Instant referral to a suitably qualified gas appliance technician.

No access to PM's as the subscription expired and the account reverted to standard registered member. The system does it automatically.

€7 for a precision screwdriver set (with all my bits and bobs I didn't have the right screwdriver) and a quick vacuum. Sorted!

i had this problem once, there is a safety device usually right next to the ring, it;s a thermocouple device that cuts the gas flow if the ring gets blown out.

if this device fails (like mine did) the ring wont stay lit. Just replace the thermocouple device.

A little cleaning got my issue sorted but good to know for future reference, thanks.
