Dave, we got full coverage as far down as bordeaux latitude which is about 45 degrees I think.
I didn't test it between there and the med as we didn't stop again but it is only about 43 degrees.

I am told the snipe is the equivalent to a 65cm dish (if you can believe that)

Ours was grand until about Provence somewhere, although we might have had it as far south as Virona in very northern Spain. That many places etc.....

Our Lidl satellite did work as far down as lisieux but nothing in Paris at all.
All others at the park had large dishes - i have since dug out a spare sky dish for use - just making fixings on the roof rails for easy setup

It should have worked in Paris as Liseuix is much the same latitude.

The reduction in the footprint only seems to effect south of 45 degrees latitude.

What size of dish are you using?
I was in that area a few days ago and got next to nothing. The boss had to catch up with the soaps online. LOL

Just missed you Colin, we left there yesterday morning and moved on to Marsillan plage. By any chance did we meet you on the road? We got a very friendly wave from a passing Motorhome on the way, I didn't catch the Reg or make do.

Now at Bacares Port, near Perpignon and RTE TV3 now gone, but TV3+1 and UTV Ireland are still with us. Dish in use is Maxview crank-up (old type)
Hoping TV3+1 is not on tight beam and it will stay with us for the Rugby World Cup as we follow the sun south

Now at Sant Feliu De Guixols on the Costa Brava, free Aire & services :-)
RTE 1&2, TV3, 3e, BBC's & ITV's are all well gone :-(
TV3+1 and UTV Ireland are still coming in good and strong :-)

Some Sky channels are also gone, but we don't watch much of their stuff.

Equipment is an old type Maxview 66 Crank-up dish and an old Pace SD Sky digibox.

Planning to stay put for a few days but will post updates as we move further South.

We have a 60cm dish on Freesat. Went south to Mediterranean in August. Lost BBC/ITV/CH4 channels just north of Millau. Got them back again as we worked our way back north. All channels available from Condom and had them in the Dordogne and Bordeaux and further north.

I was surprised to find that we had Newstalk radio on the Med. along from Agde to Perpignan, but no RTE radio whatsoever available in those parts. We found Newstalk great to keep up to date with what was happening back home. It reduced the need to purchase WiFi which costed €3 to €5 per day for one device on campsites and generally was not strong enough to watch TV via Filmon.

Still the same (TV3+1 & UTV Ireland loud and clear)

BTW all radio is gone too except Newstalk.

Those two RoI channels don't seem to have joined the others on the new narrow beam transmissions :D :D
