Has anybody made the jump to ios8 yet?

I'm holding back this time as I was flustered last time there was an update/what ever they call it,

Yeah I have and have had no problems. Mind you I can't see much difference.

Holding back as the last one played havoc with the maps. I might do the iPad Air but not the older one.

I've updated my iPad 3 and iPhone 4S with no problems. I used iTunes to do it, best bet. I like the new keyboard suggested words, helps with my slow typing.

Not enough free space on my 5 to load the new os8. Not willing to delete my stuff to make room for it unless someone can convince me it's better than the os7.

I think it just needs that extra space while doing the updates. I deleted about 6 GB of photos as they were already backed up (automatically). Now with the update complete I think I have the same amount of storage space as before. :)

I had heard that about the space required, only needs it to install and you get it back again.

I bit the bullet 2 weeks ago and did the iPhone5 and the iPad mini, no problems with the phone thank god, but I found the iPad very sluggish, esp when browsing (safari)

Today I used chrome for no particular reason and hey presto it's flying, so I think my problem with ios8 maybe just safari which is not an issue as we have alternatives,

Anybody else found any big differences that improve things?

I have not used airdrop or Bluetooth on the pad Tom, only wifi so I'm no help to you,
I had an issue with the iPhone 5 and apple sent a new replacement because the phone was less than 2 years old (1 month shy of 2nd birthday) so I'm happy as I got another new phone after nearly 2 years,
So I'd say ring apple cust care or even drop a mail and they will be more than happy to help based on my experience,

Hi John, I have been reading up about it on a Mac forum. It seems that the Ios8 has a lot of bugs that apple were going to sort out in the last update, but all they done was fix some problem with I Tunes.
Will have to wait for the next update and hope for the best. :-)
