When to run fridge on Gas ?

Hi, Completely new to this and just did our first wild camping at a local beach and really enjoyed it. The questions I have might seem basic but I didn't see the answers in the manuals or get them from the previous owner.

When is it best to use the Gas setting on a fridge, is it to save the battery, the only mention about it is not to use it while refueling so advice greatly appreciated..

You need to switch to gas when parked
12volt only works when the engine is running
240volt only works on ehu

Try to keep your m/h as level as possible while on gas this will make your fridge work better good luck
