Thinking about a few repairs.

Stayed last night and tonight at Carra Campsite Belcarra, Mayo. The people that own the site have a plumbers merchants at the front of the site. I discovered this morning that I have a slight leak just starting at the front skylight. Nipped into their shop and got a tube of Tech 7 to seal it.
After a wee walk this evening I remembered my mixer swivel tap in the van kitchen must have got a bit of damage in the frost earlier in the year and was leaking. I had ordered a ceramic cartridge from ebay but when it arrived it was a 2 dowel locator whereas mine only had one. As I could still use the bathroom sink I wasn't panicking about the repair but nipped into the plumbers and mine was obsolete. They done me a great deal on a really heavy duty tap set with all the adaptors. Now all I need is someone to do the work and fit them lol.

Cheers John,
I've started into a Bubba keg of fruit juice and am writing the list of all the jobs that need done and that I already have the parts for.

2 x leisure batteries bought new 29th December. (still sitting in the passenger footwell).
Habitation door cylinder door lock bought in mid January.
Reversing camera cable which I broke when it dropped down below the dash coming home from New Year meet.
Both side marker lights. As the camera wasn't working I broke one off on 2 consecutive weekends parking in the yard.
Winter fridge vents to be sourced .
Taps as above
Sky light as above
Drain, flush and refill the alde heating.
Fit new alde pump (bought in December)
Clean, dung out and polish the van.

I'm soon going to have to stay at home some weekend to get this all done.

And further to a conversation on our Facebook sister page I also remembered I bought 2 x awning leg lock ins for the side of the van to replace the 1994 ones as the awning was replaced in 2014, about 16 months ago and still haven't fitted them

With all that to do it will take you more than an hour or two,

Sounds like you need to buy Simon at LTS a Buddy keg and some ice cubes to fill it as a bribe to lend a hand with that list ;-) ;-)

Even though you have a few things to do its not stopping you getting out and about,

Will you be in time for Lumpers 8-)

Lumpers is a jaunt this weekend. I am planning to coddiwomple towards home.
The definition of coddiwomple is “to travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination”. And isn't that what motorhoming is all about. My new favourite word.
So as Paul Young would say " Where ever I lay my hat that's my home" isn't that right Big D. lol

There's always a list ins't it?

I have a few job alright waiting for when the weather improves a little bit as I don't have a garage to work on. Small things usually that don't stop us from driving away, but definitely need to get my hands dirty before the list gets longer.

It's part of the game and I actually enjoy working on the camper, just wish I had a little bit more daylight and less water falling from the sky :P
