Camper question here

Hey everyone, I am new on this forum, and I believe that's the right place to post my question.
First, let me tell you, that I am new to camping, and last summer I travelled with a special tent, that I put into the bed of my F-250. Yet, the bed tent appeared to be inconvenient, especially in rainy weather, as all the water gathered in the truck bed.
Now, I believe I need something better, and now I'm thinking of the trailer that attaches to the truck bed, you know.

And here's what I wanted to ask you folks. What is the right name for such campers? And who makes them? Maybe any recpommendations on what can be considered and which camers are of no good?...
Here is a pic of what I'm talking about. And my truck is an F-250...

PS - I've read that thread, forum/topic.php?t=59 and I haven't noted the make and model of my motorhome because I haven't got one...

Hi.
They are called dismountable campers. I considered one but after a bit of research decided against it.
1) they can be unstable on the road. Top heavy.
2) nowhere to park the unit when not using it.
There are some good web pages on it.

See fifth or 5th wheel camper on EBay.

These look great.

We had one when we lived in US. On a 1 ton Dodge dually. Upgraded rear shocks. No problem except 8 mpg! Did a 7 week tour of Mexico.

You would have ended up with some fuel bill after that trip.
