Last year a group of Russian scientists dug down 10 feet and found traces of copper wire dating back 200 years. They came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone system at that time.
Not to be outdone by the Russians, the Americans dug down 20 feet earlier this year and found traces of copper wire. They proudly announced that their ancestors had an advanced, high tech communications system 250 years ago - a good 50 years before the Russians.
Only last week, Mary Mcgraft ("Mary the Pit", and ex miner and amateur archaeologist from Kilkenny) dug down 30 feet in her back yard and found absolutely nothing.
Her obvious conclusion . . . 300 years ago Ireland had already gone wireless
