Touring costs, a month away.

I meet a few people on the campsite who want to get an idea of how much it costs to go touring. I've kept a tally for Nov if it helps anyone, although we all do different things so it can only be a very rough guide.
Total spent for Nov €1104.9 = €36.83 per day.
1800 miles done now in calnegre after landing in Cherbourg.
Diesel €301.90
Fees, campsites 4 nights, commercial Aires, free Aires and wild camping total €133.
Laundry €30.
LPG €28.
Take away X 2 = €48.
Beers out €67.50.
Engine oil €10
Shopping, this includes food, alcohol, and other bits and pieces. €486.50. Should be said Amanda does waste a lot of money on food where as I spend wisely on alcohol.
As you can see we don't eat out as we prefer to cook, we get good food and fresh vegetables and we both drink plenty of alcohol.
My LPG figure is quite high as we now have a van with a fridge and freezer plus an oven.
I hope this helps others when planning.
Additional cost I forgot about is wifi and phone calls circa €30.
Only 3 months left:-(

Apart from the campsite fee, which is €400 per 30 days, we are getting along fine for about €150 per week, and that includes 'treats'. Being static we have no fuel costs.

£100 a day sounds like a lot but it all comes down to how you live and where you stay. I'm sure there are people who cope on €10 a day if they are staying long term on free Aires or wild camping.
I'd probably be spending more if I was at home compared to what I am spending whilst touring when I factor in heating costs for a house and the shopping costs in Ireland compared to Spain.

We do 3 x 12 week trips a year to Europe not including Ferry costs but all other cost's rarely go over £100 a week for the 2 of us. We only economise by hardly ever using sites 3 nites in 7 years

Thats more like it,would it not be cheaper to leave your van on main land Europe and fly
