Don’t be put off by the approach road which is single track with grass growing up the middle. My opinion is that the approach from the L2800 just east of the Loughcrew estate and gardens is the best. Lots of passing places and no overhanging branches likely to scrape the van.

It may be possible to get the key to the main cairn ask when you arrive , it's not always possible though
