Hello
Could any one tell me what battlebridge in Carrick on Shannon is like New Year’s Eve?
We are from waterford,
We are dyeing to go somewhere to bring in the new year with our motorhome, And meet other motor homers, it’s very hard to find a place down the south that has food, music, and I’d like to be on a campsite, something festive,
It’s only the 2 of us Adults,

Been there in a Cruiser on the Shannon but not in a camper.
It was a good few years ago and I don't have much of a recollection of the campsite, but I think it was a bit muddy. Probably not as good as some newer sites, in terms of toilets etc. From memory, it seemed to be have a lot of Glamping.
Pub at the entrance was good, from what I can recall.
I don't know if the site is prone to flooding in winter, like some lands adjacent to the Shannon, but I'd be checking that out before heading there from Waterford in December.
Hopefully other members can give you more up to date and precise information.

Spent last NYE there. They have a 3 course banquet with prosecco on arrival. Food was good. It was very overpriced for children- they only got pasta and ice cream. Great atmosphere- you're seated with other people so good craic. Band came on after the countdown. Didn't stay too long after that as had to put the kids to bed but the hubby stayed on with friends of ours and enjoyed it.

Wasn't impressed with the site itself to be honest it was very muddy with just a playground.

Would only consider it again for NYE if we couldn't find anywhere that welcome children.

Was it wicked muddy lads?
Is the pitches not hard standing?
I wouldn’t bother go if it was only grassy pitches coz it is winter and it would be worse if it was muddy,
I wouldn’t like to get stuck in the mud 😂

I'll give you a hint, the River Shannon flows through it.
Hard stands are fine but the bits in between are muddy, can't be helped but a good pair of wellies should help.

Was there at Easter and the food and drink were good, conditions underfoot were "soft to yielding"

To be honest if I didn't have children there are plenty of other good places to go NYE where you don't have campsite fees on top of food and drink. Not being tight but not like you need a campsite that time of year. Loads of great pubs that do food on the Motorhome Parking app.

I just booked battlebridge, I’m not going to be dancing on the grass in the mud so we should be fine,
Sounds like a great place,
The banquet is €39 per head 4 course meal, DJ 70s music 🎶.
We booked it to the sight to its €15 per nights including electric €10 without electric,
It should be good to see fellow campers there,
🍷🍷🎉🎉💃🏼💃🏼
