Another handy little pub stop is the Shepherd & Shepherdess if you are visiting the Beamish Museum near Durham. It is free overnight if you eat there (special early evening menu) and a busy spot but the staff are very friendly. We were the only MH overnighting that evening in July but it is right beside the entrance to the museum.
