Hi Newbie here!

Bought a 05 Fiat Ducato with Dethleffe cabin, it has a standard 3 ring gas job, every time we light the ring and take our hands of the gas knob it goes out, I'm sure there is a simple knack to this....please help for my sanity!!....love the camper! Thanks

I

On all three rings!

Tried holding in, you have to mess around for about 20mins and might be lucky to keep one lighting!!

Sounds like a Thermocouple...... very unusual on all 3 rings though.
Could be a regulator problem too, pressure low ?

Try cleaning the Burners, check to see if the hot part of the flame is hitting the thermocouple, sometimes a rust/muck/soot will build up on the burners which means that the cold part of the flame hits the TC. We had a old caravan that you had to light the burner hold in the knob at the same time turn down the flame so that the tip of the flame was hitting the TC

Are you burning propane or butane gas. Butane gas produces a dirty oily film on the burner and the TC when the cylinder is nearly empty. Shaking the butane cylinder will not help as it compounds the above problem.
Check your other gas appliances and if they are working ,wash the hob with hot soapy water and hoover dry. If other appliances are not working properly, find a gas engineer to clean your systems.

A friend of mine bought a camper a couple of years ago and it had a similar problem to yours. He discovered the thermocouples were connected to the incorrect burners. Light all three burners at the same time while keeping all three knobs pressed. If they continue lighting, thats your problem. If not the problem is elsewhere. Best of luck.

Try canging the regulator at the gas cylinder
