Stayed in malinbeg Monday night. Gorgeous. No services but 2 portoloos in car park. Well worth all the steps down to the beach. There is another cove just before malinbeg. Great for snorkelling or scuba diving. Steps down, not near as many as malinbeg. Absolutely stunning. A lot of jellyfish there Monday. Mostly babies so no real stings, just little red dots for half an hour. Next time full wetsuit not shorty

There are reports of Lions Main Jellyfish at Narin Strand (near Portnoo) so I would be putting on both wetsuits :-)

It sure is. Up here since Sunday. The app has been brilliant. Have gotten to some real gems. Some have been a squeeze with 7.6 meters (with bikes on rack). What a county. I could stay for a month. If only

Totally agree, we were up there 2 weeks ago and loved every minute of it. As for the app, I wouldnt be without it !!!!! In my opinion it has to be the best resource for motorhomes in Ireland out there !!

Absolutely gorgeous spot we go up there regularly. Make sure to spend a euro or two in a few local bars or shops. Sadly this is a part of our country which despite having the most beautiful beaches and highest sea cliffs in Western Europe, many tourists tend to enjoy the views but pass through and spend little or nothing, as can be evidenced in the many closed businesses in the area.

Here's a lovely aerial view of Silver Strand / Malinbeg
