Dundonald campsite Belfast

We spent six nights in Dundonald last week. It was a well run site. A bit off putting when you arrive to the big gates, but when we got over this, and were there for a while, we realised it was a very safe site. You pay at the Ice ring. It is 24pounds per night, including electric and showers. It was spotlessly clean and you are given a code for the gate and this also allows you access to the showers, kitchen etc. A very enjoyable stay there.

Cheers jetty, it's one part of the island that we have not toured alot. Do you know is the site seasonal or is all year around? We are looking at that direction for October mid term.
Thanks Malcolm

Campercontact says it's open from 12/3 to 3/11.
We were there in june. Place is good, though very expensive. 'Secure gates' are open to anyone on foot though. There is a good bus to the Belfast center (though only once an hour in the evening). wifi only at the toilets.

Dundonald operates as an Aire in Winter (from November to March I think). We were there in Feb and it was great. The only thing you dont get is access to the toilets and the kitchen but other that that you get everything you need; EHU, Grey and Black waste disposal, water. Its very secure and all that for only £8 if I remember correctly.

Incredible value if it wasnt for the fortune we spent on ice skating, climbing walls, bowling, mini golf, cinema :-)

Excellent site, smashing value out of season (Nov/March) as it becomes an aire and only about £8 per night.
Spent New Year's Eve there last year, good restaurants/amenities/attractions close and bus directly to city centre.
