Anyone ever overnighted there?

We were in Gougane Barra, West Cork in early February in the car and would like to revisit in August with our camper van.

Idyllic location with the Church on the Island, a hotel across the road and a forest park adjacent with decent toilet block.

Anyone ever overnighted there?

Nothing comes up here on a search

I'd be very interested in this one too. By all accounts the hillsides are recovering well from the fires.

So I emailed Coillte who tell me they don't have camping and caravan facilities at Gougane Barra.

I did suggest they might consider setting up an Aire there as they have most of the facilites on site, pay parking, toilets etc.

No harm in asking.
