Help!!! how do I go about repairing all in one shower floor that has begun to crack. The cracks are in the area in front of the sink. Is there a company that does Speedcoat in Ireland I have heard it is the product required for such a floor. All advice gratefully received.

It would be helpful if you filled in your location on your profile. Just a county :)

I had a similar problem and the biggest issue I had was that there was no support under the tray and therefore we were doing more damage to it every time we put weight on it. I removed the toilet and packed under the floor to make sure there was no movement on the floor. I then repaired it with a fibreglass repair kit. It seems to have worked fine for me so far. I havent bothered getting it re coated.

Mine had quite a few cracks in it when I bought it but seemed fairly well supported underneath. I used a very strong glue to seal it then sanded it & hit it with a few coats of special bath/shower paint. All from eBay. Looks great now.i have heard of people drilling a hol. & filling underneath with spray foam to provide support underneath but I didn't do that. Risk with that stuff is that it keeps expanding & can push up & do even more harm.

never thought of using foam, not a bad idea and a lot less hassle that trying to pack under the floor through a space the size of a letterbox :-)

The foam will get spongy after a while,
Better to pack it through the letterbox I'd say

I had lots of fine cracks last year and one proper crack just below sink and couldn't get easy access underneath without a lot of carnage. I bought flexible bright white rubberised paint on ebay (its a product used to seal RV roofs). It has a matt finish with a very slight texture so you will loose any shine you had. I gave the whole tray two coats and an extra coat over the cracks. Then I used a rubber shower matt on floor to keep traffic off the paint as much as possible. It stayed sealed over a 6 week trip with a family of 5 last summer and we have toilet and shower in same room so plenty traffic.
