Carlingford Marina Fundraiser

December 2nd! Put it in your diary!
On Friday December 2nd, Carlingford Marina are having their Christmas Fundraiser in aid of the RNLI at Sitar Cafe Bar & Indian Cuisine.
As you know, the RNLI is principally funded by legacies and voluntary donations. This is our chance to give back to those brave souls in the yellow boots, who battle fearlessly with our bad judgement and silly mistakes to keep us safe and well at sea. Never has an organisation been more deserving of our thanks than they are. :)
Please take a look at the invitation below, and pass it on to anyone you think may be interested in attending. The event is open for all to attend, with special invitations extended to members of the sailing and boating community in Carlingford Lough.

Hello everyone!

It's Jonny here from Carlingford Marina.

Thank you to those of you who have already booked tickets to the RNLI Fundraiser!

It's a great cause to get behind. As you may or may not know, the RNLI relies entirely on voluntary donations and legacies (donations from peoples wills) for funding. We try every year to raise as much money as we can for the RNLI. In the Marina, we see fist hand the situations people get themselves into... But, no matter how dark, wet, windy or cold it may be - the RNLI are always there ready and willing to come to our rescue.

The event itself is shaping up to be a bit of craic! Sitar Indian Restaurant are hosting the event in the bar and are providing finger food on the night. All they ask in return is that we adopt an opulent attitude towards beer and wine. Heaven forbid. Its worth noting that it will be 'business as usual' in the restaurant if any of you fancy a bit more than just the finger food that is provided.

Also on the night we will have live music from Flip The Lid and a raffle where you could pick up a bottle of wine, box of sweets, tickets to Neil Delamere, a €25 voucher for the local butchers (!?), vouchers for local Cafe's, etc etc...

Tickets for the event are €15 - €5 of each goes straight to the RNLI. Also, as mentioned above - Motorhome Parking is Free for anyone who attends the event!

The event is open to everyone to attend, so please pass on an invitation to anyone you think might be interested! It would be great to see as many there as possible!

To reserve tickets, give the Marina Office a call on 042 93 73072

Thanks again,
Jonny

That's great news and it's great to build relationships with folk in the local area. Sorry I wasn't able to go but I sent a donation.
