This Pilot turned up on a site we stayed on in Ile de Re in the summer.
Driven by a lovely elderly French couple.
They parked up & hooked up to EHU, put out the awning, went round to the back of the van & came back & laid out a ground sheet.
He returned to the back of the van & came back hauling a full size fridge (you can see it through the awning side).
Went round to the back again & came back & set up a small folding table. He then went into the van & came out & set a small electric oven on it.
He went into the van, came out & set up a large table & 4 fold up chairs.
Went back in & came out with 2 huge recliners. (He's stretched out on one).
He lay down for a bit of a rest while his wife made the tea.
Afterwards he went into the van & came out with a cat - on a lead - & took it for a walk.
He returned after a while with a fellow camper. They could be seen in the van setting up a huge television. He was obviously having bother tuning it in. It was massive.
The next morning, when I got up, there was no sign of him. After a while, he came cycling in on an old bicycle complete with paniers with the baguette stick out of one of them.
Where did the bike come from?
Later he returned to the rear of the van & came back with 2 long poles. About 3m long.
He put one on each end of his awning to make the sides rigid.
He returned to the back of the van & came back with all the awning sides & front & set it all up as you see it in the photo.
I was mesmerised at how much stuff he could fit into what is a nice size little motorhome, but it is not huge.
A tardis if ever I saw one.
