Morning all,
I have me a 100w panel, a charge regulator and 4mm solar cable. What I need to know is this, What size wire do I run from the regulator to the battery and do I fuse between the the panel and the regulator as well as between the battery and regulator and if so what size fuses. Many thanks guys

Not sure of the size of fuses and wont be able to look until tomorrow until I am in the van but definitely fuse on either side, apart from safety it allows you to isolate the panel incase you need to work at the controller or battery without pawer running through as the solar panel produces power in daylight! I would also say to use the 4mm cable from the controller to the battery and put the controller as close to the battery as possible.

Suggest a 30amp rated fuse carrier fitted with a 10 amp fuse in each of the two locations. As FC says use 4mm cable both sides and all as short as possible.
