Wee black boxes

Noticed a few motorhomes had a wee black box about the size of kitchen match box whcih appeared to be providing a tv signal to the units.
Any ideas what they are?
Are they any good?

Could be any number of things such as a signal booster, a set top box for either terrestrial or satellite signal or even a "droid" box providing tv channels over the internet
