Best adhesive to attach solar panels

I would say Sikaflex motorhome/caravan adhesive, no chance of it coming of!

We use CT1 ,it is an adhesive and sealant all in one. never had a problem with it.

Will, do you use those corner standoff's for mounting the solar panels slightly off the surface of the roof, or do you stick them straight down onto the surface?

You will need to use one in the centre at each side as well as the corner pieces. Using corner pieces are ok on their own for a shorter solar panel Any solar panel larger and including 100 watt will also need centre anchor,s as well as there is almost 4 feet from corner to corner. I would prefer to use two straight anchor brackets on each side rather than the corner brackets.

I also used CT1 and found it great. Make sure you leave a gap between the panel and the roof so that there is some air circulation. Panels do get very hot. I used aluminium rods on the roof and then attached the panel to the rods. That was about 6 years ago and everything is still there and working. Just back from 10 weeks in the South of France, never used hookup and still able to use compressor fridge,sat. tv etc. Best investment ever.

I used silkaflex 212 with small aluminium L shaped brackets and no screws and currently halfway round Europe and stuck as hard as ever.
