Does anyone have a dedicated Wifi media player set up in their van?

I was thinking of running HDMI cables around our camper, but I got to poking around on ebay and found this Wifi Media player which might be handier given I have two teens with an abundance of tech gadgets, all with wifi.

Three do a wifi box which takes a mobile sim card. The only condition is that some phone calls must made monthly. A family friends of ours has this setup at home and they just pop the sim into a phone once a month and make a few calls .
The wifi box is actually 12 volt with a 240 volt transformer or a cigar socket. Sometimes they have brought the wifi box on long car journeys.

It basically does the same as a "Google ChromeCast" will do, but it seems like this one might run standalone?

As far as I know, for Chromecast to work you will need a router or at least one device acting as a hotspot (which could be a cellphone).

Slightly off topic, but saw this TV in Donaghys a few weeks ago. (Forgot to see how much it was for some reason, easily distracted in their shop!!!)
It’s a Cello Traveller TV that allows you to connect tablets/phone via Bluetooth to send video to.
Handy if you have downloaded movies to your tablet or phone. No internet connection needed.

I have an older version of the Traveller which doesnt have the bluetooth connection, although you can stick the stuff onto a memory stick and watch it that way.
