Gyles Quay info...?

Alright lads. Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience of Gyles Quay campsite?
I did a site search and nothing came up (hope I did it right).
Thinking of heading northwards direction for 3or4nights over the Easter break.
Iv 3 teenage girls and the sheriff in tow so all suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance 👍

Stayed there a few years ago. Much smaller site than advertised. Small pitches.

Drove in around it once, didn’t stay as no availability at the time, not many pitches mostly mobiles. There is a pub at the entrance but very little else around it as far as I remember, be doing well to keep 3 teenagers interested..

I would be at Gyles Quay itself fairly regularly as it is my closest “beach” and would take the motorhome there just to give it a regular run over the winter but I have never stayed in the campsite as it is so close to home. A friend did say it was the most expensive site he stayed in during a recent motorhome trip.

If the campsite was full there’s loads of room to stay near the beach area overnight and it is on the app.

Gyle's quay campsite now have a new area for camping just across the road from the main entrance,it now has well improved hard standings with electric points and water, walked in around it last year looks like a good stopover location now.

Have you booked in already to Kilbroney? ( need levellers on most pitches) or what about Castlewellan, walking distance to shops, though over Easter could be booked up.

Ok lads..... false alarm. Iv been informed last night by all at home that they want to head Kerry direction so for this trip it's Flemings. Dad gets to pick the next trip..........apparently.
Thanks a million for all the input. I'll keep it all for future reference 👍
