Don't think I've ever tried a picture but in full editor doesn't this site automatically resize photos ?

Dont think so, theres usually a limit to file/pixel size.
Re-sizing seems to sort any issues relating to images.
800x600 or smaller is a good ball point figure to aim for.

Glad you've got it sorted now too JackTheRev

To a certain extent, but the size of some photos is completely crazy on some devices.

In saying that, I am still working on something and trying to work out the best way forward.

Try the android version of *Image Size* very easy to use.

Android version here..
https://play.google.com/store/…size&hl=en

Used it this morning. Gem of a wee app and exactly what we need. Nice one Tom.

Now we need a guide, I'll do one if I get time.

I've just tried 2 at 2.86 and 3.70 mb and it wouldn't accept either

I'm still looking into this, but I think it is the hosters that have set a limit on image upload. We (as most websites are) are on a shared server, a dedicated server is just too expensive. So if you can imagine 10 different websites all uploading huge files, all on the same server, things begin to fail.

I am finding out what the limit is and see if I can get it raised. I think resizing using an app like Tom posted, or a resizing on a real computer is the way its going to be though.

I have been using Tom's recommended app, image resize, for the last few days. The 600×800 image are perfect to upload here. I will be like a kid with a new toy for the next few weeks, posting photos of all sorts of motorhome related stuff.
A big thank you, Tom but Ally disc space could be under pressure.

I been thinking that all of this unlimited space. Before "the move" I could post photos without any problems.
Afterwards there was a max size imposed on photo uploads files. While this image size app has me back in business, I do wonder if all this extra disc space is only for smaller files, therefore there is more file space.

No, it's just a different server in a different building with different settings.

I can upload a 100gb file if I wanted too, but I have root access. Image uploads use a web kit standard that can be easily limited by the hosters.
