LE GALAXIE AND THE STUNNING TO HEADLINE VANTASTIVAL!
We are delighted to partner with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles once again in 2018 with Le Galaxie and The Stunning confirmed as headliners for the festival this June. Le Galaxie, who have established themselves as Ireland’s top live dance act with their brand of thundering electro, will take to the Volkswagen Main Stage on Saturday 2nd June. The band's third album ‘Pleasure’ is due for a full US and Europe album release in March. Also releasing a new album next month, 90’s Irish rock icons The Stunning will headline the Sunday night of Vantastival. One of Ireland's biggest bands with a string of number one albums and hit singles, including the anthemic 'Brewing up a Storm', The Stunning are known for the quality of their live shows.

The line-up also includes Irish/Sierra Leonean songstress Loah, who’ll bring her unique blend of genre-bending Afro-soul to Vantastival, while multi-instrumentalist RSAG will perform with a virtual band while his drums, vocals and sampler are mixed with an array of hypnotic imagery and silhouettes projected on-screen. Dublin rockers The Hot Sprockets, Choice Music Prize nominee Marlene Enright, critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Marc O’Reilly and the explosive trad of The Bonny Men will also appear at the festival. The bulk of the line up is yet to be announced and a large number of exciting up-and-coming Irish acts will be added to the bill in the coming weeks!

Anyone know if dogs are allowed? I seem to remember their website say dogs were welcome but can't seem to find it on their website.

It was on their twitter last year that dogs were welcome. I can't imagine they would change it without telling people

Great to know. Not sure if we'll bring her. Anyone else bring a dog in the past? How was it?

Been bringing our dogs every year, no problems at all. Plenty of craic'ers bring their dogs.

Don't forget about our special MHC tickets if you don't already have them? they finish on the 9th February.

I’m going to keep it in mind for next year as well. I’ll be on the continent this year. Is it the same weekend every year

Usually, at the last venue it was first weekend of May, but the new venue always seems to be the first weekend in June, I would think they would stick to that.

Charge some power banks before you go, the teenagers will be fine. They'll be too busy being entertained by the many and varied acts.

If anyone who is saying "definitely next year" is available this year, just go for it; it's a brilliant festival. I have 3 children and the first time I went the youngest was a young baby. It's so family (and adult) friendly.

We loved both of these at our last Vantastival in 2015 and so did our 3 kids.

Delighted we can go this year and won't be missing another again!! (Bloody Dublin GAA matches 🤣).
