The future I’m afraid.
Vehicles will have a lifespan, like a washing machine.
Remember being at a trade meeting years ago and was told that in the future they will sell a “product” to a “client” for max 5 years and that “product” will be 98% recycled at the end of 5 years...... and do the cycle begins again.
I honestly believe manufacturers are making vehicles do technically and electronically complex and expensive and as difficult to repair as possible to force “clients” down that path.
We won’t own vehicles in the future, we will pay per mile and it will be recycled at the manufacturers chosen period.
Orwell’s 1984 is coming folk !

All of those cars are brand new, they were never on the road, they just made too many.

They are prototypes pre production models that were made for testing before manufacture.
Best thing to happen to them says my mechanic who isn't a fan of the Bavarian Money Waster brand:)

I worked for a UK manufacturer and pre-production cars were destroyed to maintain quality and integrity of the brand. It seems wasteful but that is how it is. The only models that survived were used to drive around the plant and never made it onto UK roads.
