Yes it is worth having them. The gas fridges like work much better if the van is level or near level.

You will be surprised at how often you use them.

We couldn't park sensibly/properly without ours. They are a must have.

We find the Milenco (Triples and Quattros) to be the best on the market.

The Milenco Quattros are big, check your storage first, they take up a lot of room. We had to settle for the triples in our last van, but we have the Quattros now.

Halfords do a thule/ omnistore triple step in the north for 22 quid. That is what I bought as it was today last year that I purchased the van and loaded it to head to Scarva. With hindsight I at times would have liked to have had the quatros but the triples have been fine for 99% of the 149 nights I have slept in the van this past year.

Also get yourself a lenght of 9×1 timber and cut it into 3 foot lengths. I find that when using wheel chocks on rough stone the timber give a smooth surface for them to sit on. Sometimes when parking on wet grass the camper wheels spin , when driving onto the chocks, so lay timber in front of both wheels with the chocks on top.
The wheel starts on the timber first and then mounts the chock and overnight the timber will sink very little into the ground.

Forget Fiama ... just not strong enough for a reasonable sized van. We have Milenco Tripples, but to be honest, as we wild a lot, we tend not to use them. Vanevac (leave Moho ready for an emergency exit if required) would not be possible if you have to run around moving van off and then collecting them. Also our newish A class creaks and groans if we park him on them. You do get used to a slight list! And the fridge seems to work fine so long as not at a major angle.
I have seen home made wooden slot together ramps, but they are heavy and bulky.

The waste water tank is mounted inside the rear bumper of our MH and as such we use them to help the waste water to run from the sinks. I don't mind a slope on the bed but mother hen tends to flap her wings at the thought. In fact most campsites pitches are brutally unlevel.

once again the replies on a subject here are varied, informed and leave a lot for thought.
i think what i will do is use the van without the levellers for a few trips, see how that goes. Although i will be heading to Dungarvan and I know the stopove at the harbour is at a slant and whenever there are campers there, they have their levellers in use.

Chocks, it not just about the fridge working better or rolling out of bed, with chocks it helps ensure you shower and sinks drain, cooking is easier when level and you glass, can or bottle doesn't slide off the table.
I'm not the type who must be 100% level but I prefer to be relatively flat so I always have my chocks but I don't always use them.

Our last MH had great levellers, much stronger plastic (yellow) , but sold with Mh.
Bought a set (grey) with current Mh much lighter and shattered at lower edge and feel lower.
We liked the Milenco Quattro that some had in Portstewart last month.
See a comment that A class creak, also Donaghys probably stock....anywhere else? , we will be up at Lumpers tomorrow and have good few days after. We could go to Leisure Show, perhaps the Sunday for the day by car, we have to come home for Friday and Sat next week.
No plans to change MH...not after recent expenses.

They're extremely handy, and I would recommend the ones in Halfords which are actually the Fiamma ones.

Could also be used if you get stuck in some mushy surface to regain traction and get you out of the whole.

Also, never mind the appliances... sleeping on a un-level position would drive me nuts.

I have the Milenco triples but have found that they are not great for the larger 16" wheels on my Maxi chassis, the pockets are undersized and the tips of them get deformed.

I would agree. We use the quattros for ours which has 16" wheels.

The fiamma levellers can be complimented with the addition of the chocks. Effectively they are small triangular plastic chocks about 6 inches per side but not as wide as the levelling ramp. Perhaps about 4 inches in width, they locate and lock into the levelling ramp. The idea being they stop the van from rolling off the ramp since they locate behind the wheel after you have levelled your van.

I had a set many years ago, but never used them. I don’t see them being used by many others either. I just use a combination of hand brake and parking in gear. The same effect could be achieved with a brick or piece of wood wedged behind the unlevelled wheel.

I've Quattros and have the same problem a Bounder, the pockets are too small for 16" wheels. Going to the top level is scary as a lot of the wheel overhangs.

As an aside, I rarely use the handbrake and rely on chocks and leaving the van in gear to keep the it from rolling off. I feel the extreme pull to keep the van on the levellers could be detrimental to the parking brake mechanism over time.

I am very interested in the Uniko 6 in 1 multipurpose ramps and traction ladders, they aren't cheap but I guess you would have them a long time and they look to be easy to store as well not like the standard ramps which eat into the storage capacity.

We carry 2 sets of chocks but seldom use them. Our van has a slight higher at the rear bias so I tend to park nose uphill if possible. Never had a problem with the fridge
