The Lumpers pub was closed all week for re-decoration and is opening tonight under new ownership. Will find out in the next while if it still is motorhome friendly.

It will be a big loss to us if we cant meet there again, hopefully it will remain the same.
Has John sold it or just leasing it out.

Heres hoping the new owners make it MH friendly. The Lumpers weekend has always been one of the best weekends of the year with John's guided walk and 'One ...rection' playing on the Sat evening followed by the disco for those still standing. It pulls in good revenue for the bar and their car park is certainly large enough to accommodate all us hallions. If John is now off the scene I feel a few of us who have been there a number of times could get us safely in and out of the Cooleys without the need for mountain rescue to be called. We'd miss John's local history lessons as we walk but sure the walk in that beautiful area is fulfilling enough in itself. Fingers crossed re the new owners.....

I've been in contact with John. Will have.more info soon. But he did say he will see us all when we are there.

Vino should be able to advise us straight from the horses mouth.

When we were in Lumpers last January at craic meeting there was building work going on at upper level, and surprised that it looked unfinished and car park still had potholes when we were back for more recent craic meeting. Was there any mention of changeover?
Were MHs always able to stop overnight?. John always did great food for us at weekends, will new ownership still have food?

Any craic meetings organised for early next year?.

Was talking to the new owner Frankie on saturday night, motorhomes still welcome. Cafe is closed at moment, may not be open for a while. It may be closing for renovations sometime in the new year. Give them a ring and ask to speak to Paddy Flood, he is the bar manager, will find out more over xmas. When in January is the meet?

Not booked it yet due to the ownership changes, I rang them today, but I was probably too early and no one answered, will give them a ring tomorrow again.

Just off the phone to Paddy (bar manager). We are putting our usual January meet back to February, probably third weekend. This is due to building work and renovations being started after Xmas. Work also being carried out on the car park.
