Drones 2

I wonder what would be the position if I was to knock one out of the sky if it was taking pictures (without permission) over my land.
I understand that photos taken on Public land are free from any law but say a small business was developing something outside but still within their property and a drone came over what would you do if you could, or even Nissan UK on a private testing track saw a Drone when it was testing a new car/van

Nice toy but are they a invasion of our privacy.

Criminal gangs targeting rural Ireland for robbery have been using drones to scope out future targets for the past year. The unofficial advice given about seeing a unsupervised drone is to feed it the business end of a shotgun.

Who needs a drone.

Google Earth, although always not up to date, it's a hell of a tool for a thief.

If you fancy a cheap but safe balloon trip, then stand in your wicker laundry basket and look at google maps !

Damn , forgot to go to full editor again to use those stupid wee yellow brutes again.

"Go to full editor" option is beside Submit. It keeps your text.

Another way.
Is if you can find the pilot, give him a very big hug for as long as you can ,works brilliantly, there is no law against giving someone a hug, because if there is ,he hasn't found it yet.

Don't mind a drone flying by but a few months ago there was someone on my estate flying one over and it stop hovering right above us as we were out in the garden just chillin'.

After a few minutes it got a bit creepy and if I had any tools to force gravity to do its job, I probably would have done so.

As anything it's a matter of fair use I guess. There's really no privacy now these days, but actively creeping out your neighbors is just bad form.

Having said that, I'm looking at getting one :D but only to get aerial shots of fancy places... the roof of the MH would make one hell of a launch pad!
