A WARNING TO ALL.

Be careful about drink driving as we are getting close to Christmas and police are out checking on people. Last night I was out for a few drinks and one thing led to another and I had a few too many sambuca and then went on to Stella. Not a good idea!
Knowing I was over the limit I decided to leave my car in town and took a bus home, I passed a police checkpoint where they were pulling over drivers and doing breath tests.
Because I was on a bus they just waved me past.
I arrived home safely and no accident, which was a real surprise because I have never driven a bus before and I am not even sure where I got it from!!!!!

Now that explains why our buses rarely come along. ....
They seldom make the return trip on the Antrim route.

I got stopped on the way home from our Daughter's one night 11.30ish. after a BBQ . of course I had a drink, but when I stopped the Garda trying to give me a Lecture about drink driving by saying ,since the law allows me to drink and drive, She should be congratulation me for being under the limit ,and being a law abiding citizen. She had such a sour pus on her.

Reminds me of the story of the two Buncrana men who went on the razzle in Derry and went to the Swilly Bus depot for the last bus home to find they were too late. They then decided to steal a bus and agreed one would keep look out whilst the other did the deed. After a little while and a lot of crashing and banging the bus emerged with one headlight and a lot of damage. The lookout man asked what happened to the bus his friend says , its not my fault the Buncrana bus was parked at the back.

I reckon you must have had a good night before posting. You have brought the thread right round in a circle.!!

Have a look at the first post by Ally. I would put a smiley on this post but I can’t find the wee brutes, and I don’t drink!

Look for this symbol, it may be in different places on different devices so that it suits all screen sizes, you also need to be in full editor not quick reply.

We had a server failure a few months back and lost all our images (it's a very sore point) some information here: forum/topic.php?t=17757
