yeah, tenant moving out, painters moving in.
But, I am going down in the van and parking on the quay before going on the rip. Sue is working so i might get the son or cousin down for the craic.

Some info for anyone going to the show.

Entrance to exhibition centre is at n54.48731, w6.09349.

If you fancy a meal/drink I would recommend Lizzie Drakes (Maze Station Inn) on the Moira Road in Lisburn, less than 2 miles from the exhibition centre. Carpark is at n54.50119, w6.09349 just across the road. Carpark surface is rough. They do an 'early bird' on Friday night for orders up to 1830, so need to arrive by 1815 , selected 2 courses for £10. I usually go for the early bird steak at £10.95 for complete main course with sauce. Don't be put off by the 6oz steak size, it's the largest 6oz you'll ever see. You won't come out hungry.

No connection except regular customer.

Closest fish and chips is in a mobile van in Hillsborough just where you turn off to go to the exhibition centre. N54.46609, W6.08412

Have they started taking cards yet, haven't been in a few years and they only took cash.

You also have Gowdy's at the racecourse, Frankie & Bennies along with McDonalds at Sprucefield or any of the eateries and carryouts in Moira. It all depends on which direction you are coming from.

Good point, which I should have mentioned. Lizzie Drakes are strictly CASH only, no cards or cheques.

I was there today but just for a few hours in the car. Was amazed at how many Motorhomes I could see in the distance in the overnight area.
Hope the local councils & event organisers see the number of Motorhomes that travel some distance when there are facilities & a multi day event in their area.

A lot of very nice Motorhomes inside & great to check out the various different layouts. Would have like to have seen a few more accessory stalls. Just saw one that mostly had caravan type items like motor movers.

I was a bit like you, we went by car and while it was a good show as far as Irish based shows go, I think that it will develop into something really special. At one point there were over 400 motorhomes/caravans parked up and from what I can gather the expectation was for around 80-100. I also had the same thought, has the council seen the potential along with the RUAS who own the site as it could make the Blamoral show a lot better.

There was a free shuttle bus which was taking people to Lisburn town centre.

It was a good show, not as big as the UK shows, but it was a good first attempt.
Liked the Bailey, was the only van with a layout we could live with.... going to view again with a mind of having a new toy for 2018 ! but will view others too.
Like others, we would like to have seen more trade stalls for “bits & bobs”, but it is the first year for the show and I fully agree with you John, it will become better.
Saw a few press photographers as we were leaving taking pictures of the overnighters park , hopefully this will make its way to mainstream media and maybe the powers that be can finally see the scale and the scope of this sector of tourism, it’s definitely something we can use to our advantage in future promotions.
Nutt promotions are to be applauded for their efforts on putting the event together and for their superb organization of the overnight parking area and the facilities that they laid on. Had the MHC group tickets all ready when we arrived and told us where to go to park.
Will be writing to congratulate them for sure.
Well done to MotorhomeCraic too, our own wee area was well full of craicers!..... great to put faces to names and to meet folk we haven’t seen for a while.
Looking forward to the meet in Logues of Cranford in a couple of weeks.

Could only visit briefly on Sat. First time at this great venue. Easy access, Cheap entry, Great building, Mega amount of parking. Brilliant.
Good show. Far better than the RDS for MHs and campers. Accessories poor this year, but hopefully ..... next year.
The southern dealers/agents, (Donaghy's excluded) must be wondering if they missed out by not going.
Finally got to meet Simon from Leisure Technical Solutions. Brilliant guy.

Couldn't resist driving down to see the camper parking on the way out. Excellent.

Well done to all involved. Hope it was a good financial success for the organisers, so that it will be even better in 2018.
