Got the van back from Paul Kavanagh test centre on ther platin road in drogheda. Initial estimates for the work was 1950 euro plus vat.
Picked it up and the bill came in at 1450 all in. Van running like a dream, little bit smoky on start up, but clears pretty quick. First time ive been accelerating up hill and gaining speed lol.
Very happy with the job, and price. Done a great job on the under floor and built in a new subframe. All in all he reckons he added about 30kgs to the overall weight, but still within limits.
Happy Camper :D

I got the CVRT passed last week, we did 9,480miles ( 15.25km ) since the last one .What sort of mileage are people doing ?
Do you do long trips or are you doing a lot of small / short trips . Ours was two long trips to France / Switzerland and the rest around Ireland.

I did 10500 Kms. The trip to France was actually only about 400kms of that. Donegal was about 1500 kms. Then a few trips to Galway, Clare, cork etc

I have quite a bit to go before retirement, but being self employed, I can take a few days off when I want. Have to play catch up then of course, but it’s worth it😜

It was between October 16 and October 17 we did Dingle for Other Voices in December and the rest was this year.

We will be back in Dingle this December again for Other Voices Music Trail from 1st - 3rd and have at least two trips before that if time permits.

I also looked today and have 24,000Km on the car since January .I think i,ll have to go back to work to get a rest.

Only got the van 12 months ago and got the crvt done then, did 5000 miles around Ireland since, mostly up the west coast and Kerry, thought I hadn't been using it enough, hope to cover more of the country next year. ..if it passes the mot next week

not too many km's done this year in the camper, hopefully improve that through the winter, nearly 400 done since last Tuesday! Yet the bike I bought in August was on 652 miles when I got it - and over 5000 miles now 😁
