My main concern is for our European counterparts visiting Howth. Can someone update the reviews on the app with a note saying to contact the Harbour office by phone before arriving in Howth.
A dozen phone calls a day would force a public statement from the office and then we would know where we stand.
I will add something now. Some are saying they are being turned away and others are saying they are welcome, so not straight forward..

Myself and others really could do a "told you so" right about now.
I made posts on this website over 2 years ago that Motorhomers would ruin Howth for themselves, why folk cannot tell the difference between overcrowding an area and being respectful is beyond me..
I think I said at the time - "if there were more than a certain amount then go somewhere else." - it's of no loss to me, I was not a lover of Howth, lovely place to visit but it's not my type of stopover. But a big loss for some and also for the business owners. I certainly don't have the answers on how to Police people if they won't Police themselves.
Donaghadee could be next, but although I am in discussions with the Council they have refused to put a limit on the numbers that can use it, this of course will alienate the locals eventually.

I believe that in years to come the enjoyment will have gone out of Motorhoming because of the regulations that will have been forced upon us by this present bunch of inconsiderate selfish group of people who call themselves Motorhomers.
I believe that we should only stay where we are welcome, pay our way, and as Ally has stated a long time ago if the area is overcrowded then move on.
No, there was no notification on my screen. Again harbourmaster said if I was parked within the lines there was no problem.

Immigrants or not if they are working in the fishing industry they will be tolerated by the harbour master and you will be the nuisance in his eyes if you start bothering him. That is my view if I put myself in his shoes.
