This question comes up a lot on the lesser English forums.

Do you poo in your loo?

I bought a Motorhome so I would have a toilet and a shower at music festivals. Poo in it? damn right I do! The Statements I see "no poos - no shoes", would these people not be better of with a hotel room?

It's a toilet, use it as such.

Agree? Disagree?

Haven't done a poo in it as yet.

I have always made sure a reasonably clean public loo was nearby for No 2s.

But you mentioned the festival word.... I think if my family had to use one of those temporary loos I would prefer for us all to use the motorhome's.

As for the shower, again not used it, but I was tempted a few times. Just for the hell of it. Wouldn't have a problem with my family using it at all.

The main reason I changed the van was for a bigger bathroom so I could actually use it.

Sure if you can't use the toilet you may as well be in a tent. It's wild camping mainly for us, so it gets used all the time. Sog system fitted, so no chemicals and it breaks down quickly

Yes,but I work on the principal of always using provided facilities when available , the more you use someone else's
( Public not Motorhome  ), the less times you have to empty the cassette.

It's almost like having the camper and not overnight in it... what's the point?

Surely, if I have a better option I'll take it but when wild camping, sh*t is going down!!! (Literally).

On the same token, if in the middle of nowhere, I'll pee in the bush to bring back balance to the force (?)

Long story short, YES.

If it was not meant to be used as a toilet then it would not be fitted as a toilet.

If we're close to the facilities on a campsite we will use that but no problem using our own- just a case of minimising how often we ( and by we I of course mean me😂) have to empty the cassette but definitely not squeamish about it!

I see that vicarious media are now Happy Bowl bags for £7.99 and free postage to NI. Best price I've seen lately. They also have a Bidet for the Thetford toilet. Now who has one of those?

I’ll be honest, no we don’t there’s only 2 of us,
We both use the loo only at nigh for a wee,
I’d be worried about it getting stuck on the flap, yuk,
😂 😂 😂
We would also stink the place out,
Now that’s my honest opinion,

Has anyone used those bags with gel in that are supposed to make the contents not smell?
I see that they are now advertised also for the elderly with bidets and can you really throw them in the rubbish (maybe that is only in uk?)
Could be very useful in our small van if they do work...

We tried some that we got from Donagheys and they work ok. They are a small plastic sachet that you drop in the cassette. However, we found that the scent from them was a bit over powering and we went back to the chemicals.
