there's two types of people in this world. Those that put the milk in their tea after the tea bag and water, and those that are wrong!!

it never ceases to amaze me how basic our setup is when I'm looking through responses :') we've just got normal plates and 2 x camping mugs that were bought mainly because they say "I'm a happy camper" on them and were €1.50...! I've commissioned her good self to knit separators for the presses though - the clattering of delf is high up on my list of things to smooth over this winter!!

I've read, if you put paper or polystyrene plates between the other plates it deadens the rattle. The cardboard cup trays from Costa coffee etc hold the mugs steady.

I'll set the cat amongst the pigeons by declaring that we have stuck with the same melamine set that we bought for our first van. I swear the plates and bowls retain the heat from hot food, keeping the food from going cold, and we have never had a bad cup of tea from our now badly stained cups. The other half also glugs his wine from plastic beakers from one of those cheap shops. I don't drink wine, but I do drink milk and pineapple juice ( not together), but don't really like drinking them from plastic beakers. I have been told I'm an oddball when it comes to eating and drinking habits...
