3 degrees tonight with a chance frost.

Time to start thinking about emptying those water tanks and boilers. Now can someone tell me where the Summer was?

The summer was located south of the 45° latitude in Europe. North of 45° latitude it rains 300 days a year.

yeah i know that feeling. i need to change wet gear and boots for this winter. the cold hand of the rain has started to wrap itself around my crotch when its a heavy downpour.
As far as the wind goes for tomorrow, as long as there isnt a small craft warning it will be fine. if its blown off, theres always the beach 5 mins away.

Aaaaah, stop.
Needs to heat up a notch or two as we’re going your way just after Christmas 🎄
Enjoy your time there in any case.

All you good folk who wander the roads of Iberia at this time of year might like my favourite tipple in the evening after a meal, "Sole Sumbra". an even mixture of sweet anise and brandy .You can sit and sip and think cool the evening may be, you will have 90% chance of a sunny day tomorrow. Spare a thought for us back here in the rain.

Or if you are s bit further north you could try ,Ratafía its a traditional Catalan liqueur its base is, anise and green walnuts plus about 100 more herbs and spices and if you have space bring me home,I'm nearly out,its great stiff to add to casserole's and stews.

There is a wine cave beside us were we are staying. Just about any Spainish version of any drink 18 euro for 3 litres. They do some cracking local ports to. That Ratifia sounds like a plan 😁

Stock up well on supplies, because the Irish government is talking about a minimum price for alcohol. The charge or tax could be as much as 10 cent per gramme of alcohol which would make a standard bottle of wine a minimum of €7.

Talking about Caves ,There are are people down south in the town of Guadix living happily in caves, when you went the old road through the town you could see them quite clearly. The A92 passes around the top but it is still worth a look if you are passing. I suppose down there when a young couple get married ,the groom and all his mates grab a few shovels and get stuck into making a new home. Beats paying an arm and a leg in morgage

Depends on your boiler. Some auto dump and some you need to push/move/pull the lever over for it to empty. Make sure you have the water pump off and also open and leave open all taps to stop them freezing and expanding.

Hasn't been that cold in "sunny" Cork yet, but since I'm waiting for parts to fix the power steering, I've drained her anyways just in case.
