Culdaff, Co.Donegal

Had a quick look yesterday evening and googled a bit and decided a run up along the Innishowen peninsula would be nice...... so
Ended up in Culdaff, great big car park up at the beach that is all but deserted except for dog walkers and joggers. If you're looking for it just take the left after McGrorys (shore road) and down past the football club to the big car park..... no height barriers or anything...Signs saying "no camping" !... so glad we're in a motorhome and not a tent !...
About 1km from the town and a leisurely stroll took us up to McGroarys Bar/Restaurant where the food is fantastic and great live music too. It attracts big names for a place off the beaten track although it was locals playing last evening.
Great relaxing day, so we're staying another night and the dog is just loving the open beach and the freedom it brings.
Will send the details for inclusion on our APP, wonderful stop in a remote and beautiful place.
Probably much busier if the weather is good, but even in these conditions it is beautiful.

The one on the APP John is Bonagee Pier at Culdaff. This one is directly opposite the pier on the other side of the estuary.
The big car park is down past the football field, the other park is 100 metres up the road from that one.... it's the car park of the old Caratra bar/restaurant that is closed up and dissipated. 3 vans there last night. I've sent both for inclusion in the APP.

We're actually home again, our dog took ill through the night and was rushed to vets this morning...... so a bit of a downer this morning
