I was talking to a Guy at the weekend and he was telling me about this Site, I never heard of it, Anybody ever stay there or know anything about it? Sounds like it might suit a Meet some time, I believe there is some kind of a Thatched Pub with a turf fire on site.

Better photos on their Facebook page, I have a feeling it is in a remote location.

Yes it is a remote location, stayed there some years ago. No bar but a room where you can bring your own beer.

This was a favourite spot for venues of the motorcaravan club of Ireland several years ago. Not sure of its current status

Was it a good venue for a meet, it seems to be quite reasonably priced and is there ehu there? why did the club move from there, Frank.

Well they thought it was an ideal site and used it frequently. I was never on one of their meets (other than annual meets which were not in Powers) so I have no knowledge of faclilies there. I decided about 3 years ago to cull my membership of various clubs, as I was not getting out on meets. This was one of the clubs I dropped.
I just don't know if they still frequent this site, but they raved about it regularly.

Spent a lot of summers as a kid up in powers the pot while mum and dad danced on boards outside, great craic, thought it was closed down with years. It's very remote up there but up the top of the mountain with amazing views. Nearest village is rathgormack (home place of my dad). 2 pubs a shop decent kids park and fantastic marked walks. Hillwalking centre. Through rathgormack onto mahon falls, kilmacthomas home of flahavans porrridge on into dungarvan. Beautiful part of co. waterford. I even went up there to get married.

We have stayed there several times when over for the Munster circuit. Very basic but reasonably priced including free showers no laundry but it's 7km up,a winding mountain road so not easily accessible. Great views and good for walking

Finally we have found time to try and find the powers of pot campsite. Booked in for tomorrow and Saturday nights. I give it a review in a few days but I need a bit of education. Is it done here or on the app?

Arrived here, only ones staying, Malcolm’s description is perfect, definitely rustic.
If ever coming here go by route on their website, passing the golf course, not the shorter satnav route as not suitable for MHs

Nigel is located in walking heaven in Powers of the pots.
Niall the owner has vast experience of walking trails across the British isles.
