Anyone use a sun shade add on for their awning? thinking of getting one.

Stop a few drafts, I'm a Daywalker so prefer to keep away from direct sunlight.

Do Fiamma not make them?

Aye, at a stupid price.

EDIT:

Hmm I am wrong. Seen some Fiammi ones that are cheaper than the one I was looking at on fleabay!

Lillypad Leisure have some front panel sunshades as clearance stock in a choice of two discontinued colours, 'mulberry' and 'camouflage' at the moment.

They don't have any matching side panels but at GBP£29 including shipping to ROI for a 440 long panel I figured it was worth a punt and I can maybe pick up some side panels in another colour at a later date if I'm happy.

www.windblockers.net if anyone is interested, I'll post a review when it gets here and maybe some pics.

Looks like it escaped from a time when your computer made weird beeping and hissing sounds as it tried to connect to the internet via a phone line but payment is handled by PayPal and you'll not get anything similar to the clearance panels at the price.

I seen their website before and thought of ordering, but couldn't work out what to order, if you hadn't of posted those under offer I would never of found them.

They look like they would lend a lot of stability to the awning as well, pulling at an angle means the fabric is tensioned forward and less likely to flap.
What kind of pegs do you use ,the screw in type or just hammer in at an angle?

I bought a set of these years ago, they're for tying down aircraft. Unbelievable grip, even into poor soil. Very strong, light and come in a full kit. Now the company is doing it for RV awnings etc.
See The Claw, anchor system. Can recommend highly.

There is a dealer in the U.K., I'll find how much they are if we buy 5 kits at a time.
I can personally recommend these, I've had them on an open awning in strong winds and they simply don't budge.
I've anchored down the plane, designed to lift 600KGS in strong winds and they do the job. Well known in the aviation community for they're durability and strength and are the standard others are judged by, and still the best available.

what about this
http://www.partsformotorhomes….-2800.html
from donagheys screwed onto edge of awning hardware and then a sheet of fabric or an old flysheet with beading sewn in (beading avail on ebay for about £15).

If nothing reasonably priced turns up I might have a go at this. I have a vango windbreaker that I can use for the material made of ripstop nylon, it has eyes along the other edge that I can use for pegs.

Are the Lilliput sunblockers reasonably priced and where are they available?

I got one of the Camo ones today, I also had the email about him being Ill, I was in no hurry anyway.
The screen looks interesting, I had to get the 450 but my awning is only 400 so I may bring some scissors with me and a stitcher and reduce it in size if it is annoyingly big.
Not sure what they will be like in wet conditions but they will surely block sun effectively.
His awning tie-down anchors look the part, the bits that sit into the front slot of the awning are wide and look well made on his site.
