Yes Credit must go to The Phoenix Motorhome club for pulling this one out of the bag, I was there with them last Saturday night, Lovely surroundings by the River, Very friendly staff and leisure centre on site. We had a fantastic night in the Hotel Bar.
At the moment there is no dedicated Motorhome Parking, The new Aire is to be started shortly and the owners Gobnet and her Husband are also Motorhome Owners. Also I would like to wish them the Best with their new Development.

There was a bit of confusion with coordinates for this, those are the ones I was given and which were passed by the owners.

EDIT: I remember now, I searched on google maps, they should be right on the APP. Google earth is out of date and shows an old yard.

Seen this happening the other day on an Apple phone. Typical Apple eh?

I'll let Paul know, but we know there are issues with Apple and hopefully will be bringing a new APP out soon.

+1 for Castle Oaks hotel
Rang before we travelled. We were the only van there as it turned out. Fantastic location overlooking the Shannon. Had lovely dinner last night and got credit for 10 euro charge for stopover.
Highly recommended and close to City / Killaloe if you have bikes

Yes, have to agree Joe, we were there for a couple nights two weeks ago along with 25 other Motorhomes at a Club Meet and Boy did I ever taste food so good and quite reasonable priced, it was to Die for. Gobnet and Val the owners are also Motorhomers themselves, The only down side is there are no facilities there and even though they are after laying a huge amount of stone for Motorhome parking you still need to use your levelers. It might be an option for a future meet.

It is great to see The Castle Oaks getting the motorhome parking up and running. We were caught there last July as they could not provide MH parking due to a wedding on site.
This place is now on our to do list again. We have been at a few family weddings there and the food is beautiful.

We overnighted there last August after reading some of the reviews. Despite having a meal and several drinks we still had to pay the €10 charge.
