Trip up West coast to the North

 ·

At home here in Co. Limerick and getting itchy feet! We are heading off on Friday for ten days. The furthest we've travelled West has been to Galway. So after much deliberation the plan is to travel up West coast, then into the North and then head South via East Coast or through the Midlands. Any suggestions re Aires or wildcamping spots or events would be most welcome.
I notice the weather is milder here than in the Costa BLancashire, so can't wait to head off!

Bit early in the year for events perhaps. Loads and loads of parking places, too many to list! Take a look at Take a look at THIS and plan your route, or use the APP.

On our trip South we found the APP to be amazing and it really made our holiday, especially as it works offline.

Any particular towns/villages you wish to visit? hill walking? Cycling? Historic buildings?

If you are up the North Coast, make sure and call into Kinbane head, it's on the map. Do the walk down to the old castle, amazing and can stay overnight, no facilities unless toilets are open. Take your time on the way back up :)

At this time of year almost anywhere -

eg
Easky, Co Sligo
The Beach Bar Aughris Co Sligo (might be a small charge)
Mullaghmore, Co Sligo
The Quay Donegal Town
Almost any beach car park
Not so many people around at this time of year
